Preliminary Discussion on the Application of Health Education on Oral Health in Children

Abstract：Objective:To explore the health education for children’s oral health effect and application value.Method:From December 2011 to December 2012,a primary school of 100 pupils were cared out oral health education for one-year,the results of children’s knowledge of oral health,oral health behavior and oral health survey before and after health education were compared.Result:The average knowledge health education of children’s knowledge was low before health education,the bacteria,sugar and host were the main pathogenesis of dental caries and periodontal disease,dental caries and periodontal diseases will damage the teeth,dental caries and periodontal disease could cause oral diseases and systemic diseases,pit and fissure sealant could prevent molar caries, protection six age teeth knowledge rate were very low,that was not optimistic;after health education,awareness rate was significantly higher in children mean knowledge,the average awareness rate health education after the children’s dental calculus detection rate,rate of dental caries,gingivitis and plaque incidence index were significantly improved.Conclusion:Health education of oral health care for children can improve children’s health knowledge awareness rate of health habits,correct mistakes,to improve the oral health of children,guiding significance,it is worthy of popularization and application.
