Abstract:Objective:To investigate efficacy of positive pressure ventilation for the treatment of hypertension with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OS-AHS).Method:48 cases of hypertension with OS-AHS in our hospital were randomly divided into control group(received conventional treatment) and observation group (received positive pressure ventilation based on conventional treatment). The systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),pulse pressure(PP),heart rate(HR),sleep apnea-hypopnea index(AHI),the longest apnea time and minimum pulse volume of oxygen saturation(SpO2min) of two groups before and after treatment were compared.Result:All patients were improved to varying degrees after treatment than before treatment(P<0.05);The SBP,DBP,PP,HR,AHI,the longest apnea time and SpO2 min of observation group were improved more significantly than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Positive pressure ventilation for the treatment of hypertension with OS-AHS is safe and effective. It can effectively lower blood pressure and improve sleep hypoxic state.
