Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical value of treating intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly with proximal femoral interlocking nail (PFN). Method:Retrospectively analyzed clinical data of 58 patients with intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly from April 2009 to April 2012. 30 patients were treated with proximal femoral interlocking nail (PFN),28 patients were used dynamic hip screw(DHS).Result:The healing time of fracture, the recovery of hip joint function had significance(P<0.05),the PFN group treatment effect was significantly better than the DHS group. The amount of bleeding, the operation lasted time and postoperative complications had no statistically significant(P>0.05).The PFN group had 1 case of deep vein thrombosis. Conclusion:Treating intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly with proximal femoral interlocking nail(PFN) is effective,it is worth in clinical practice.
