Clinical Application of the Short Root Preservation Therapy in the Primary Hospital

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the restorative procedure and the survival period of short residual root after complete endodontic treatment.Method:50 patients(62 teeth) with short residual root of front teeth and premolars were selected.All cases were flolowed up from half a month to a month after excellent root canal therapy and without any uncomfortable symptom,then modified by post-core crown.Result:All patients were followed up for three years after prosthetics treatment,it was found that the valid rate was 85.7%,and these teeth can performed their natural function.Conclusion:This treatment may be employed as a practical means for the front teeth and premolars’ short root.
