Abstract: Objective:To evaluate short-term efficacy of retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephron sparing surgery(L-NSS) for patients with early stage renal cell carcinoma.Method:From May 2008 to December 2012,26 cases with early renal cell carcinoma were underwent L-NSS in our hospital.Clinicopathological data, surgical information and oncological results were recorded and analyzed.Result:All 26 L-NSS were successfully performed. The mean operative time, warm-ischemia time, bleeding, and in-patient day were 120 min(95-250 min),22 min(17-32 min),60 ml(30-230 ml) and 10 days (7-21 days),respectively. None severe complication was occurred during operation.Four delayed hemorrhages and 2 urinal fistulas were observed after surgery.Six,eight and twelve patients had Low,intermediate and high differentiated tumors. After 8-60 months’ follow-up,all patients were alive. And only one local recurrent disease and 1 atrophy were found in this group of patients. Conclusion:For the favorable surgical efficacy and oncological results achieved in this study,L-NSS can be selected as the first choice for patients with early stage renal cell carcinoma.
