Abstract: Objective:To observe clinical effect of endoscopic surgery for chronic sinusitis reserved or partial resection of uncinate.Methods:60 chronic sinusitis patients with no uncinate lesions were randomly divided into two groups after anti-inflammatory,control group resection or partial resection of uncinate, observation group retained uncinate. Results:One month after surgery, observation group cavity mucous membrane polypoid edema occurrence probability lower than control group(13.33%vs40.00%,X2=5.46,P<0.05).And ethmoid sinus cavity vesicle formation was significantly lower than control group(6.67%vs43.33%,X2=10.76,P<0.01).After six months, mucosal polypoid edema disappeared,no difference in efficacy. Conclusion:The uncinate surgery reserved for chronic sinusitis overall efficacy was no significant change, but in the short term can significantly reduce the complications of mucosal polypoid edema and ethmoid cavity vesicles, and probably because of the protection of the nasal mucosa and structure reduce repeated infection of Staphylococcus aureus and other microorganisms, reduce the risk of patients with hyposmia or disappear.
