The Digitized Analog and Significance for Occipitocervical Internal Fixation before Surgical Operation

Abstract： Objective:To explore the methods to perform three-dimensional reconstruction and designing digital internal fixation device on occipitocervical internal fixation with computer softwares.Methods:One specimen of cervical spine was treated with CT scan.Three-dimensional reconstruction was performed in Mimics.The digital plates and screws were designed in Solidworks.Virtual internal fixation on the three-dimensional model was performed.The three-dimensional measurements of the relevant datas were completed.Results:The three-dimensional model was reconstructed.The design for internal fixational plates and screws as well as virtual internal fixation were accomplished based on the datas of three-dimensional model.Three-dimensional measurement were achieved.Conclusion:The internal fixation device for cervical vertebra can be designed in Mimics and Solidworks with a personal computer.This can provide good guidance for the actual surgical operation.
