Abstract: Objective:To study the clinical significance of serum C-reactive protein, brain natriuretic peptide and endothelin-1 for patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation(AF).Methods:The 80 patients with AF including 40 patients of paroxysmal AF and 40 patients of chronic AF in our hospital during the period from March 2010 to March 2013 were regard as the AF group. The other 40 patients with sinus rhythm in the same period were regarded as the control group. The serum C-reactive protein(CRP),brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) and endothelin-1(ET-1) in the all groups were measured and compared. Results:Compared with the control group, the serum CRP,BNP and ET-1 levels were significantly increased in the AF group(P<0.05);Compared with the paroxysmal AF group, the CRP,BNP and ET-1 levels were significantly increased in the chronic AF group(P<0.05).Conclusion:For the AF patients, the serum CRP,BNP and ET-1 levels are significantly increased and the increase degree of serum CRP,BNP and ET-1 levels is more obvious with the increase of lesion degree.
