The Observation of the Effect for Enalapril Maleate Combined with Simvastatin in the Treatment of Elderly Patients with Hypertension

Abstract：Objective:To observe the ef ect for enalapril maleate combined with simvastatin in the treatment of elderly patients with hypertension.Methods:180 cases of elderly patients with hypertension were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,90 cases in each.The control group was taken with enalapril maleate treatment,and the observation group was taken with enalapril maleate combined with simvastatin.The differences of the step-down, triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein(HDL-C) and other changes in serum lipids 12 weeks before and after treatment for the two groups of patients were compared.Results:After 12 weeks of treatment,the total efficiency rate for the two programs in the treatment of high blood pressure was 90.00%,the difference was not statistically significant between the two groups(P>0.05).The efficiency rate in the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).The TG,TC,LDL-C,HDL-C in the treatment group were all in the range of abnormal values,and there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups.(P>0.05) After treatment of 12 weeks,the indicators in the observation group were with significant improvement. Compared to the control group,there was significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:The efficacy for enalapril maleate combined with simvastatin in the treatment of elderly patients with hypertension is better than only with enalapril maleate,and it can also improve elderly patients’ state effectively.
