Clinical Observation on Malignant Pleural Effusion with Peritoneal Drainage Catheter Combined with Gefitinib
Abstract:Objective:To explore the efficacy peritoneal drainage catheter combined with gefitinib to control malignant pleural effusion. Methods:15 elderly patients with lung adenocarcinoma patients with a large amount of pleural effusion in patients as research subjects. All patients underwent peritoneal drainage catheter closed thoracic drainage, while giving gefitinib 250 mg,orally,once/d. Results:15 patients were first catheter successful,2 cases of catheter obstruction with heparin diluents 3 ml red tube recanalization;1 case the catheter off and decathlete,1 patient pneumothorax contralateral supine drainage pipe exhaust and after cure. Through the catheter to inject high poly staphylococci 1 to 3 times, all patients by 5 to 10 days of catheterization, and thorough drainage of pleural effusion.7 patients remained medication, pleural effusion complete control,8 patients with high drug costs before and after stop medication, pleural effusion control time 4 to 18 months. Conclusion:Closed drainage of the abdominal catheter is a safe, method of injury, relieve symptoms quickly,Combined with gefitinib, the long-term control of malignant pleural effusion efficacy is clear. Due to the high cost of gefitinib difficult to maintain long-term application.
