The Research of the Significance of Comprehensive Nursing Intervention on the Prevention of Nosocomial Infections in Hospitalized Elderly Patients
Abstract:Objective:To study and analyze the significance of comprehensive nursing intervention on the prevention of nosocomial infections in hospitalized elderly patients.Methods:160 cases of hospitalized elderly patients hospitalized in our hospital from January 2009 to January 2012 were randomly divided into experimental group(80 cases) and control group(80 cases),the experimental group was taken with comprehensive nursing intervention,and the control group was taken with routine care intervention.The nosocomial infection rates of the two groups were taken for observation and comparison and the quality of life of the two groups of patients after care were evaluated.Results:The upper respiratory tract infection rate in the experimental group was 20.00%,the blood system infection rate was 10.00%,the gastrointestinal infection rate was 13.75%,urinary tract infection was 17.50%,and 31.25%in the lower respiratory tract infection. The control group were 22.50%,11.25%,15.00%,10.00%,33.75%.And quality of life compared with the control group,the experimental group patients was significantly higher. Conclusion:The comprehensive nursing intervention can effectively prevent the incidence of nosocomial infections in hospitalized elderly patients.
