Clinical Distribution of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa of Three Colony Morphologies and Analysis of Their Drug Resistance
Abstract:Objective:Distribution of Pseudomonas aeruginosa colony morphology in clinical infections and susceptibility to commonly used antibiotics. Methods:15 kinds of antimicrobial agents in vitro susceptibility testing of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated our hospital in June 2010-2012 in June from clinical departments censorship specimens. Results:Among the 208 strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the smooth colony accounted for 68.8%,mucoid colony 19.7%, and Escherichia coli colony 11.5%.Among the three types, mucoid colony had the highest drug resistance rate.Pseudomonas aeruginosa against infection drug resistance rate to Imipenem,Meropenem,Amikacin,Polymyxin,Piperacillin,Piperacillin/Tazobactam,Levofloxacin respectively is lowest.Cefazolin,Ampicillin/Sulbactam, sulfamethoxazole highest resistance rate, and the existence of multi-drug resistant. Conclusion:There was single and multiple antibiotic resistance in Pseudomonas aeruginosa, especially to mucoid type colony, higher resistant than others. As to decrease infection rate of the bacteria, precautionary measures should be enhanced.
