Research on design and planning of sponge city construction:A case study of a university

Abstract：Based on the ecological and sustainable development requirements of sponge city construction,this article takes a certain university as an example.Aiming to build a sponge campus and reduce the campus rainwater runoff rate,it uses the storm water management model(SWMM)for simulation to analyze the main issues in rainwater collection and discharge on campus,and develops design and renovation plans for specific problems.The results show that when the return period was 3 years,after the renovation,the campus rainwater collection rate increased from 9.80%to 36.56%,the infiltration rate increased from 9.69%to 48.45%,and the runoff abandonment rate decreased from 80.51%to 14.89%.
