Dynamic analysis of the impact of urbanization process on carbon emissions in the construction industry:A case study of Shandong Province

Abstract：With the acceleration of urbanization process in China,the construction industry,as one of the major sources of carbon emissions,has become a key area for research in achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.This paper selects data on the urbanization process in Shandong Province and uses the vector autoregression(VAR)model to identify the dynamic relationship between urbanization process and construction carbon emissions.The study reveals how factors such as economic development,industrial growth,construction development,and building area during the urbanization process impact carbon emissions.It proposes policy recommendations to promote green building and optimize the energy structure,providing a reference for sustainable urbanization development in Shandong Province and other regions.
