Abstract:With the proposal of the'dual carbon'goal, the Chinese construction industry is accelerating the application of energy-saving and carbon-reducing technologies, covering measures such as green design, recycling of construction waste, and reduction of transportation packaging materials.Low-carbon smart buildings have emerged, creating an urgent need to apply digital technologies related to carbon emissions. This article analyzes the requirements of the'dual carbon'goal for the construction industry,as well as the definition and current status of low-carbon smart buildings, and discusses in detail the application of geographic information system(GIS)technology throughout the entire lifecycle of low-carbon smart buildings, including carbon emission monitoring and resource optimization. The research finds that, with data integration, spatial analysis, and visualization capabilities,GIS technology can enhance the level of intelligence and the management capability of carbon emissions, helping the construction industry achieve low-carbon transformation. The deep integration of GIS technology with artificial intelligence(AI)and Internet of Things(IoT)is expected to improve low-carbon management efficiency and provide strong technical support for achieving the'dual carbon'goal and the sustainable development of the construction sector.
