Abstract:With the rapid development of LED technology, the capability for spatial optical and color control has been significantly enhanced. However, traditional optical software is limited by accuracy and simulation speed and cannot precisely simulate subtle optical and color differences, which has become one of the urgent problems to be solved in the field of high-precision optical simulation. This paper focuses on the key role of near-field testing in the study of the spatial optical and color characteristics of white LEDs.By capturing LED light source data using multi-angle imaging colorimeters and spectrometers, the synergistic effect between blue LED chips and phosphors in the emission mechanism of white LEDs,as well as the complexity of optical non-uniformity issues,is briefly introduced. The importance of spatial optical and color characteristic testing in addressing LED color non-uniformity and in the field of high-precision optical simulation is analyzed.Optical simulation verification is carried out using a new generation of high-precision optical software. The results show that the technical approach combining high-precision testing and high-precision simulation can effectively reproduce"subtle"optical and color differences that cannot be captured by traditional simulation software.
