Abstract:In the field of lighting, the selection of lamps based on lighting effects is increasingly gaining recognition in the industry.Uniformity data is a commonly used indicator for evaluating lighting performance. However, the traditional definition of uniformity, which only involves three measured values:minimum, average or maximum illuminance-is overly simplistic for assessing overall effect, and can be significantly biased in lighting scenarios with dark zones. This article analyzes and summarizes the three major types of uniformity evaluation indicators currently in use.Based on measured surface luminance data files,a comparative test was conducted on a 1-meter wall-washing lighting scenario. The results demonstrate that the linear uniformity indicator is the optimal choice for evaluating lighting performance.
