Lighting up Urban Space-Research on Lighting Design in the Context of Digitalized Place-Making

Abstract：With the surge of Internet technology,people's lifestyles and even their modes of interaction are undergoing significant changes.Activities such as chatting and shopping are increasingly being replaced by online platforms,leading to a reduction in offline social interactions.Against this backdrop,it is increasingly necessary to leverage digital technology to enhance and guide the relationship between people and places,fostering deeper connections.This approach can elevate social,cultural,environmental,and economic value of a place.The article takes digitalized places as a research opportunity,analyzing how the combination of physical and digital spaces creates hybrid environments that shape shared public memories in new ways.Lighting plays a pivotal role in this process.By analyzing the elements of light from three perspectives,the study explores methods of lighting design in digitalized spaces,charting a path forward for the creation of future spaces.
