Abstract:The study conducted on-site lighting environment tests in eight middle schools in Shanghai and a subjective questionnaire survey with 282 students. It aimed to explore the impact of classroom lighting conditions, duration of outdoor activity at noon, educational stress, and eye-use habits on the development of myopia and high myopia. The correlation analysis results suggested that semi-cylindrical illumination has a significant impact on the reading distance of students in the classroom.Whether schools received policy resources disproportionately or not also had a significant impact on students'myopia and changes in their refractive error. To further quantify the impact of the above factors on the development of myopia, this study used multiple regression analysis, neural networks, and mathematical modeling to establish predictive models for the occurrence of myopia, high myopia, and the increase in myopia degree over the past year. The accuracy of the models in predicting myopia and its development was 68.1%and 59.2%,respectively.This model provides a quantifiable reference for the occurrence and prevention of myopia.
