Study on the Streetlight Transmissivity in Fog Based on MODTRAN Model

Abstract：The LED transmissivity in fog has always been one of the issues of concern. Based on the MODTRAN, which is an atmospheric transmittance and radiative transfer calculation model, the article simulated transmission situations of visible light with different wavelengths under four meteorologic conditions. Meanwhile, taking several street lamps' spectrums as examples, the differences of mist transmittance of light sources with different color temperature were compared. It was proved that the difference of transmittance of visible light is very small and could be neglected.
