Automatic Control of Hangzhou Street Lights Based on the Environment

Abstract：Remote monitor and control units are widely covered in Hangzhou street lighting. With the rising demands on street lighting control, an automatic switch system is proposed adaptive to environment brightness. The system controls street lighting using luxmeter and remote monitor-control units combined design. It realizes the early switch-on and delayed switch-off under extreme weather condition or emergency situation. It could provide safe and reliable light environment for citizens and realize micromanagement of Hangzhou city street lighting. It could also improve the city emergency lighting efficiency.
