Abstract:With the characteristics of energy-saving and no electromagnetic interference, visible light communication (VLC) technology is becoming more and more welcomed in indoor positioning system. However, due to the influence of system delay between signals including delay caused by devices, path delay and signal delay, positioning accuracy of an indoor visible light positioning system will be affected when targets receive positioning information from multiple LEDs.In this paper,we find that the intensity of the received signal will have a fluctuation due to the existence of system delay through simulation and experiment for the first time.In this Multiple-Input Single-Output (MISO) system, the specific system delay of the system under different conditions is mitigated by introducing delay between transmitted signals and comparing the bit error rate of the system.By using beamforming, the positioning accuracy of visible light positioning system is improved.
