Investigation and Analysis on the Satisfaction Degree of Light Environment and Behavior Activities of the Elderly-A Case Study of Nursing Homes in Chongqing

Abstract：Light environment is very important, which is closely related to people''s living and safety, especially for the elderly.Reasonable light environment design can have a positive impact on the behavior, physiology and psychology of the elderly and improve their life quality effectively.Therefore, taking the nursing home as an example, which is the most common pension facilities in Chongqing area, the author made a field investigation on daily behavior habits of the elderly, safety and comfort of light environment in living and activity space using the methods of observation records and questionnaires, and then summed up the problems of daylighting and lighting existing in the current pension building.Finally, a number of design suggestions are proposed combined with the visual characteristics, behavioral psychology and light environment needs of the elderly, to lay a good foundation for the follow-up research on the optimization design of light environment.
