Research on the Lighting Optimization Design of the Long Tunnels Entrance

Abstract：During daytime,motor vehicle driver,from the bright environment approaching,entering and crossing road tunnels,will face a variety of special visual problems.Therefore,it is highly important to take the tunnel lighting design seriously of entrance and transition sections,in order to reduce the accident rate of the road tunnel entrance.In view of the deficiency of current standard,this paper proposes an improved luminance adaptation curve(step curve)of long road tunnels,which is more in line with the requirements of CIE technology report.The calculation examples show that,using the results of this study,although the lighting design parameters are a little higher,it is more smooth and its adaptive length increases a bit,which will be more conducive to the protection the traffic safety of road tunnels.
