Definition and Classification Method Discrimination of Plant Factory

Abstract：Currently, plant factory ( PF) with artificial LED lighting is the cutting edge field and research focus of protected horticulture. PF will play important roles in ensuring the efficient supply of agricultural produce in the future. However, definition and classification of PF is not defined exactly, lacking intrinsic essential characteristics of PF. In this paper, the traditional definition and classification method of PF were collected, and the novel methods about definition and classification of PF were put forward based on automatic control level of direct-relative production factors in PF. New definition and classification of PF will provide scientific basis for technological development, industrialization, standardization progresses of PF.
