Research on Lighting Standards of the Elderly Residential Buildings

Abstract：With the rapid growth of China ' s elderly population , the aging situation is increasingly serious , and the problem is being the most serious one in the 21st century faced by the whole society .As people ' s visual function changes with age generally , the elderly ' s needs of illumination is quite different from the young .In this paper , we summarize the characters of the elderly ' s illumination needs combining the research on the illumination standards values of the residential buildings at home and abroad and finally propose our lighting values recommendations for the elderly residential building indoor and outdoor .
