The Research of Contrast Revealing Coefficient Based on Small Target Visibility in Highway Tunnel Lighting

Abstract：Firstly, the small target visibility in road lighting was introduced into the study of contrast revealing coefficient in this paper .The key point was research about minimum luminance threshold which was included in small target visibility .Then, by means of formula derivation , the function relationship between minimum luminance threshold and contrast revealing coefficient can be set up .Secondly , a number of factors in the formula should be amended .Especially the age factor should be taken into account so as to get contrast revealing coefficient formula .Finally the influence of vehicle headlamps to small target visibility and contrast revealing coefficient could be studied .The appropriate value of contrast revealing coefficient can be received , meanwhile the suitable lighting method and arrangement of luminare could be determined which matches with the appropriate value of contrast revealing coefficient qc .
