Flow Type Driving Power Supply for High Power LED Lamp Town

Abstract：A new scheme is proposed by using ballast way to drive high power LED lamp.The work principle of ballast type driving power supply is analyzed and the lamp using the ballast LED driver was tested.The test data illustrated that the ballast drive efficiency is much higher than the requirement defined in current standards and specifications.This paper illustrates the ballast type driving power supply is superior over the switching constant current drive power in meeting LED working conditions.It proves that the town flow driven scheme,compared to switching constant current driving,is more suitable for high power LED lamp.
