Current Status and Developmental Trends of Artificial Lighting Utilization in Plant Factory

Abstract：Artificial light application in plant factory is classified into two categories , i.e.photobiology and photochemistry respectively .Supplemental lighting and artificial light environmental regulation are photobiology methods which are used for sunlight plant factory and artificial light plant factory . Photocatalytic reaction with artificial light for removing microorganisms and phytototoxic substances in nutrient solution for sustainable production of plant factory belongs to photochemistry .In this paper , the application fields , application methods , adjustment targets , and recent progress of artificial lighting in plant factory were collected and summarized .
