Current Status and Developmental Prospects of Artificial Lighting in Modern Agriculture

Abstract：With the development of modern agriculture based on protected agriculture , agricultural lighting became more and more important in protected horticulture , intensive livestock and poultry farms .Artificial light environment regulation became necessary agronomical measures for high yield and good quality .LED light source has demonstrated broad and exciting application prospect in modern agriculture in terms of its unique spectral & electrical advantages and well-controllable trait .In this paper , the necessity , application fields, research & application status , future prospect and current problems were collected .It highlighted that agricultural lighting will be a more than one hundred billion RMB industry scale after 5 ~10 years'development .
