Abstract：With the rapid development of urban construction and lightscape , light trespass in urban residential areas affected a wide range of residents ’ life and rest.This paper reviews the results and methods of previous studies of outdoor light trespass , and conducts an investigation of Tianjin residential areas to analyze the degrees of the light trespass and to conclude the types of source of trespass , then defines the further research contents and methods for light trespass in residential buildings .
