Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of a structured rescue strategy on blood gas parameters,compli-cations,and quality of life in patients with cancer complicated by acute pulmonary embolism. Methods Seventy-two patients with cancer complicated by acute pulmonary embolism admitted to Longyan Second Hospital in Fujian Province from January 2023 to February 2025 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into two groups us-ing a random number table:the observation group(36 cases)received the structured rescue strategy, and the control group(36 cases)received the conventional rescue protocol.Blood gas parameters, complication incidence, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in the levels of PaO₂,PaCO₂,and SpO₂ between the two groups(P<0.05).After treatment,PaO₂ and SpO₂ significantly increased(P<0.001),and PaCO₂ significantly decreased(P<0.001)in both groups.Compared with the control group, the observation group showed a more significant increase in PaO₂ and SpO₂ and a more significant decrease in PaCO₂,with all differences being statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the scores of each dimen-sion of the SF-36 scale between the two groups(P>0.05).One month after treatment, the scores of all SF-36 dimensions significantly increased in both groups(P<0.001).Furthermore,the scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group in all eight dimensions:Physical Functioning(P=0.006),Role-Physical(P=0.002),Bodily Pain(P=0.001),General Health(P<0.001),Vitality(P=0.002),Social Functioning(P=0.001),Role-Emotional(P=0.001),and Mental Health(P=0.004).The complication incidence in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(8.33%vs.27.78%,P=0.032).Conclusion The structured rescue strategy can effectively improve blood gas parameters, reduce the complication incidence, and enhance the quality of life in patients with cancer complicated by acute pulmonary embolism.
