Abstract:Objective To construct a preoperative acute pain nursing protocol for patients with traumatic fractures based on the Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Nursing Practice model and to explore its clinical application effect. Methods One hundred patients with traumatic fractures admitted to Nanjing BenQ Hospital from Jan-uary 2022 to December 2024 were selected as the study subjects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into an observation group(receiving care based on the Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Nursing Practice model,n=50)and a control group(receiving routine nursing care,n=50).The pain intensity, sleep quality, and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results At admission, there was no statistically sig-nificant difference in the NRS scores between the two groups(P=0.393).The NRS scores of both groups showed a gradual decreasing trend over time after admission, but the decrease was more pronounced in the observation group.Specifically,at 24 hours,48 hours after admission, and before surgery, the NRS scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.001).At 48 hours after admission, the PSQI score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.001).The satisfaction rate with nursing services in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(98.00%vs.82.00%,P=0.008).Conclusion The nursing protocol based on the Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Nursing Practice model can effectively control preoperative pain intensity, improve sleep quality, and enhance nursing satis-faction in patients with traumatic fractures.
