Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical value of perioperative holistic nursing in patients with trau-matic rib fractures combined with liver and spleen rupture. Methods A total of 80 patients with traumatic rib frac-tures combined with liver and spleen rupture who underwent emergency surgery at the General Hospital of Southern Theater Command and Guangdong 999 Brain Hospital between January 2023 and December 2024 were selected as subjects.Based on the perioperative nursing mode, they were divided into an experimental group(receiving holistic nursing intervention)and a control group(receiving conventional nursing intervention),with 40 cases in each group.Perioperative indicators, clinical efficacy, complication rates, psychological status, and mortality were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the experimental group showed:significant-ly shorter operation time(P=0.001),time to first postoperative ambulation(P=0.001),bowel sound recovery time(P<0.001),ICU stay(P<0.001),and hospital stay(P=0.002);significantly higher total clinical effectiveness rate(95.00%vs.75.00%,P=0.012);significantly lower total complication rate(7.50%vs.27.50%,P=0.019)and mortality rate(2.50%vs.15.00%,P=0.048).At admission, there were no significant differences in SAS(P=0.473)or SDS scores(P=0.467)between the two groups. At one week postoperatively, the experimental group had significantly lower SAS(P=0.001)and SDS scores(P=0.001)compared to the control group. Conclusion Perioperative holistic nursing in patients with traumatic rib fractures combined with liver and spleen rupture can accelerate recovery, reduce complication and mortality rates, improve psychological status, and demonstrate significant clinical efficacy.
