Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of a smartphone-based emergency dispatch sys-tem(One-Touch Activation App)in improving the pre-hospital emergency care and in-hospital transition process for patients with severe trauma. Methods A historical control study design was employed.Fifty patients with severe trauma admitted to Luxian People's Hospital from January 2024 to June 2024 were assigned to the control group, which received the conventional telephone notification emergency process.Another 50 patients admitted from July 2024 to January 2025 were assigned to the observation group, which utilized the One-Touch Activation App for emergency dispatch. The timeliness of emergency care(consultation notification time, specialist consul-tation response time),in-hospital treatment processes(emergency reception, completion of examinations, surgery start time, emergency department length of stay),mortality rates(24h,7d,30d),and recovery status[Injury Severity Score(ISS),Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS)]were compared between the two groups. To further assess the stability of the effect, the observation group was subdivided into an early subgroup(July-October 2024)and a late subgroup(November 2024-January 2025)for comparison. Results Compared with the control group, the observation group showed significant reductions in all timeliness of emergency care and in-hospital treatment process indicators(P<0.001).The observation group also had significantly lower 24h mortality(4.00%vs.18.00%,P=0.025),7d mortality(10.00%vs.26.00%,P=0.037),and 30d mor-tality(14.00%vs.32.00%,P=0.033).There was no significant difference in ISS and GCS scores between the two groups at admission(P>0.05).However,at 24 hours post-admission and at discharge, the observation group had significantly lower ISS scores and significantly higher GCS scores(P<0.001).Furthermore,no statistically signifi-cant differences were found in all core timeliness indicators between the early and late subgroups within the obser-vation group(P>0.05).Conclusion The emergency dispatch system(One-Touch Activation App)significantly optimizes the emergency care process for patients with severe trauma, shortens key time points, effectively reduces short-term and medium-term mortality, and improves the recovery of neurological function and trauma severity. Its benefits are sustained and not affected by the potential attenuation of the initial"Hawthorne effect,"making it an ef-ficient emergency mode suitable for promotion in primary hospitals.
