Abstract:Objective To evaluate the preventive effects of evidence-based nursing combined with early intervention initiated in the emergency department on pressure injury and lower-extremity deep vein thrombosis(DVT)in patients after surgery for tibiofibular fractures. Methods Clinical data from 86 patients who underwent surgical treatment for tibiofibular fractures at Longyan Second Hospital between January 2022 and December 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.Based on the nursing approach, patients were assigned to an observation group(ev-idence-based nursing plus early emergency department intervention;43 case)or a control group(routine care;43 case). The incidence of pressure injury and lower-extremity DVT,coagulation-related parameters, postoperative pain, and satisfaction with nursing care were compared between groups. Results The incidences of pressure injury and lower-extremity DVT in the observation group were 4.65%and 6.98%,respectively,both significant-ly lower than those in the control group(20.93%and 23.26%,P<0.05).On postoperative days(POD)1,3,and 7,D-dimer and fibrinogen levels,as well as visual analogue scale(VAS)pain scores, were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(all P<0.05).Satisfaction with nursing care was 95.35%in the observa-tion group, significantly higher than 74.42%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Evidence-based nursing combined with early intervention in the emergency department can effectively reduce the incidence of pressure in-jury and lower-extremity DVT after tibiofibular fracture surgery, alleviate postoperative pain, and improve satisfac-tion with nursing care.
