Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of dexmedetomidine combined with general anesthesia on patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for acute cholecystitis(AC).Methods A total of 120 patients with acute cholecystitis treated at Shunyi District Hospital,Beijing, from January 2024 to December 2024 were included in the study. They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method. The control group(n=60)received general anesthesia, while the observation group(n=60)received general anesthesia plus dexme-detomidine.The anesthesia quality, stress response, hemodynamic parameters, and adverse reactions were analyz-ed.Results The observation group exhibited significantly shorter times for complete nerve block, recovery of spontaneous breathing, and regaining of consciousness compared to the control group(P<0.001).Preoperative lev-els of cortisol(Cor),adrenaline(E),C-reactive protein(CRP),and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)showed no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).However,at 24 hours postoperatively, these levels were significantly lower in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.001).The heart rate and mean ar-terial pressure(MAP)in the observation group at baseline(T0)showed no significant difference compared to the control group(P>0.05).At subsequent time points, including after intubation(Tl),skin incision(T2),5 minutes after pneumoperitoneum(T3),and at the end of surgery(T4),these parameters were significantly higher in the ob-servation group than in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Dexmedetomidine combined with general anesthesia effectively improves anesthesia quality, reduces the body's stress response, maintains hemodynamic stability, and demonstrates a high level of safety.
