Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Platelet-Rich Fibrin(PRF)combined with foam dressing in the treatment of three-dimensional wounds. Methods Eighty patients with three-dimensional wounds who met the inclusion criteria and were admitted to The First People's Hospital of Yulin between February 2022 and October 2024 were selected as study subjects and randomly assigned to either a control group or an experimental group. The control group received conventional wound dressing changes, while the experimental group was treated with PRF combined with foam dressing.Wound healing status, wound healing time, frequency of dressing changes, adverse reactions, and scar hyperplasia were compared between the two groups. Results At 4 weeks post-admis-sion,no significant necrotic tissue or exudate was observed in the wounds of either group. The quality of granula-tion tissue, color of the peri-wound skin, and overall wound healing quality in the experimental group were superior to those in the control group. The total effective rate of wound healing in the experimental group(90%)was signifi-cantly higher than that in the control group(62.5%).The mean wound healing time in the experimental group(29.40±6.97)days was significantly shorter than that in the control group(35.08±10.40)days.The median number of dressing changes from admission to complete wound healing in the experimental group[7.0(7.0,9.0)]times was significantly less than that in the control group[16.0(14.0,21.0)]times.During the 6-month follow-up,no adverse reactions such as wound breakdown, redness, infection,or rash occurred in either group. The total Vancouver Scar Scale(VSS)score in the experimental group[3.00(3.00,4.00)]was significantly lower than that in the control group[5.00(5.00,5.75)].Conclusion For the treatment of three-dimensional wounds, simplified PRF combined with foam dressing, compared to convention-al dressing change methods, can significantly improve the wound healing rate, markedly shorten the healing time, greatly reduce the frequency of dressing changes, and effectively ameliorate scar hyperplasia. This method is easy to perform, causes no adverse reactions, and holds significant value for clinical promotion and application.
