Abstract:Cold exposure during emergency medical rescue causes challenges for both rescue workers and patients, bringing them with hypothermia and frostbite as critical risk factors for disability and mortality. This consensus document focuses on individual protection, injury monitoring, diagnosis, treatment, and evacua-tion strategies against cold-induced hypothermia and frostbite risks.Specifically addressing the operational needs of helicopter air ambulance crews,fixed-wing air medical teams, and ground rescue units,it provides evi-dence-based recommendations for equipment configuration. The guidelines aim to ensure effective physiological protection for patients(particularly critical cases),maintain vital functions during rescue operations, improve pre-hospital treatment success rate, and reduce disability/mortality,finally establish standardized protocols for medical rescue in cold environments.
