Abstract:Objective This study aims to evaluate the effects of clinical detail nursing in the context of emer-gency surgery for gastrointestinal perforation. Methods A total of 80 patients undergoing emergency surgery for gastrointestinal perforation at the General Hospital of Southern Theater Command and Guangdong Sanjiu Brain Hos-pital between January 2023 and December 2024 were selected for this study. The subjects were randomly assigned to two groups using a random number table:the observation group(40 patients)received clinical detail nursing, while the control group(40 patients)received standard nursing care.Perioperative indicators, incidence of complications, pain levels, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group demonstrated significantly shorter operation time, time to first flatus, and length of hospital stay compared to the con-trol group(P<0.05).The overall incidence of complications was lower in the observation group(7.50%vs.30.00%,P<0.05).Nursing satisfaction in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(97.50%vs.82.50%,P<0.05).There was no significant difference in preoperative pain levels as assessed by the Visual Analog Scale(VAS)between the two groups(P>0.05);however,postoperative VAS scores at 24,48,and 72 hours were sig-nificantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.001).Conclusion The implementation of clinical detail nursing in patients undergoing emergency surgery for gastrointestinal perforation can facilitate the re-covery of gastrointestinal function postoperatively, alleviate pain, reduce the risk of complications, and enhance nurs-ing satisfaction. This approach is worthy of further consideration and application.
