Abstract:Objective To explore the application of"5E"rehabilitation nursing in patients with acute my-ocardial infarction(AMI)following percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)and its effect on improving cardiac function. Methods A total of 1000 AMI patients admitted to Guilin People's Hospital from January 2023 to De-cember 2023 were selected for the study. They were randomly divided into a control group(routine nursing care)and an experimental group(5E rehabilitation nursing)by a lottery method, with 500 patients in each group. The two groups were compared in terms of self-care ability(measured by the Self-Care Ability Scale for the Elderly,ESCA),cardiac function, adherence to medical advice, and the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE).Results After nursing care, the experimental group had significantly higher ESCA scores, left ven-tricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),and 6-minute walk distance(6MWD)than the control group(P<0.001).Additionally,the adherence to medical advice scores in the experimen-tal group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.001).The incidence of MACE in the exper-imental group was lower than in the control group(P<0.001).Conclusion"5E"rehabilitation nursing can im-prove self-care ability, adherence to medical advice, and cardiac function in patients following PCI for AMI,while reducing the incidence of adverse cardiovascular events.
