Analysis of the Effectiveness of Simulation Training on the Improvement of Core Critical Care Skills in Obstetric Nurses

Abstract：Objective To analyze the effectiveness of simulation training in improving the core critical care skills of obstetric nurses.Methods A total of 60 obstetric nurses from Bijie Traditional Chinese Medicine Hos-pital and Bijie Qixingguan District Traditional Chinese Medicine Maternal and Child Health Group Hospital,who participated in the study from January 2022 to December 2024,were randomly divided into two groups by a lottery method.The observation group(30 nurses)received simulation training,while the control group(30 nurses)re-ceived conventional training.The theoretical knowledge,operational skills,core critical care abilities,and training satisfaction of the two groups of nurses were compared and analyzed.Results Before training,no significant dif-ferences were observed between the two groups in terms of theoretical knowledge,operational skills,and core crit-ical care abilities(including condition monitoring,emergency procedures,teamwork,communication with patients,and combined theoretical-practical ability)(P＞0.05).After the training,significant improvements were observed in the theoretical knowledge,operational skills,and core critical care abilities of both groups(P＜0.05).Addition-ally,compared with the control group,the observation group showed a more pronounced increase in theoreti-cal knowledge,operational skills,and core critical care abilities,including condition monitoring,emergency procedures,teamwork,patient communication,and combined theoretical-practical ability(P＜0.05).Re-garding the training content,training methods,trainer attitudes,teacher-student interaction,and overall satisfaction,the observation group reported significantly higher satisfaction compared to the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Simulation training can effectively improve obstetric nurses' theoretical knowledge and operational skills,enhance their core critical care abilities in emergency situations,and increase their overall satisfaction with the training.
