Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical outcomes of continuous suturing, interrupted suturing, and bidirectional suturing techniques in laparoscopic gastroduodenal perforation repair. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 60 patients who underwent laparoscopic repair for gastroduodenal perforation at Sanming First Hospital between January 2022 and January 2025.Based on the intraoperative suturing technique, patients were divided into the continuous suturing group(n=20),interrupted suturing group(n=20),and bidirectional suturing group(n=20).Surgical parameters, postoperative pain levels, gastrointestinal recovery, and complication rates were compared among the three groups. Results The continuous suturing and bidirection-al suturing groups exhibited significantly shorter suture time, reduced suture-related blood loss, shorter operative time, and lower intraoperative blood loss compared to the interrupted suturing group(P<0.05),while no significant differences were observed between the continuous and bidirectional suturing groups(P>0.05).At 24h,48h,and 72h postoperatively, the interrupted suturing group demonstrated significantly lower VAS scores than the continuous and bidirectional suturing groups(P<0.05),with no significant difference between the latter two groups(P>0.05).The interrupted suturing group also showed significantly shorter bowel sound recovery time and time to first flatus compared to the other two groups(P<0.05),while no significant difference was found between the continuous and bidirectional suturing groups(P>0.05).No significant difference was observed in the overall complication rates among the three groups(15.00%vs.20.00%vs.10.00%,P>0.05).Conclusion Continuous and bidirectional suturing techniques improve surgical efficiency and reduce intraoperative blood loss, whereas interrupted suturing offers advantages in postoperative pain control and gastrointestinal motility recovery. All three techniques demonstrate comparable safety profiles.
