Abstract:Objective This study aims to explore the anesthesia management strategies and emergency measures for patients with preeclampsia and eclampsia undergoing cesarean section. Methods Clinical data of 60 patients with preeclampsia and eclampsia who underwent cesarean section at Liuzhi Special District People's Hospital from December 2021 to December 2024 were collected. The patients were divided into two groups based on the type of anesthesia:the spinal anesthesia group(30 patients)and the general anesthesia group(30 patients). The general clinical data, intraoperative hemodynamic parameters, and maternal and neonatal outcomes were com-pared between the two groups. Results Compared to the spinal anesthesia group, the general anesthesia group had a significantly shorter average gestational age(P<0.05),a higher proportion of severe hypertension(P<0.05),and lower platelet counts(P<0.05).Additionally,the 24-hour urinary protein quantification, systolic and diastolic blood pressures,ALT,and serum creatinine(SCr)levels were significantly higher in the general anesthesia group(P<0.05).During surgery, the incidence of hypotension in the spinal anesthesia group was 73.33%,significantly higher than the 20.00%observed in the general anesthesia group(P<0.05).The incidence of hypertension in the general anesthesia group was 63.33%,significantly higher than the 13.33%observed in the spinal anesthesia group(P<0.05).Compared to the spinal anesthesia group, the general anesthesia group had a significantly lower neonatal birth weight(P<0.05),and a higher proportion of infants with a 1-minute Apgar score<7,5-minute Apgar score<7,and those transferred to the NICU(P<0.05).The general anesthesia group also had a significantly higher incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, pulmonary edema, and overall complications(P<0.05),as well as a longer hospital stay(P<0.05).Conclusion The patient's condition and complications are decisive factors in choosing the anesthesia method for preeclampsia and eclampsia patients undergoing cesarean section.Clinicians should strictly follow the indications for different anesthesia methods and apply appropriate emergency measures for various complications.
