Clinical Efficacy and Safety of Ambroxol Hydrochloride Injection in the Treatment of Community-Acquired Pneumonia

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of ambroxol hydrochloride injection in the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia(CAP).Methods A total of 100 patients with community-acquired pneumonia,admitted to Xingren People's Hospital from January 2023 to December 2024,were randomly divided into an observation group(conventional treatment+ambroxol hydrochloride injection,n=50)and a control group(conventional treatment,n=50).Clinical efficacy,symptom relief time,inflammatory markers,and blood gas indi-cators were compared between the two groups.Results The total clinical efficacy rate in the observation group was significantly higher than in the control group(96.00％vs.82.00％,P＜0.05).The observation group also demon-strated significantly shorter times for relief of cough,sputum production,fever resolution,lung rales disappearance,and hospitalization(P＜0.001).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),C-reactive protein(CRP),tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α),arterial oxygen partial pressure(PaO2),arte-rial carbon dioxide partial pressure(PaCO2),or arterial oxygen saturation(SaO2)between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the observation group showed significantly lower levels of IL-6,CRP,TNF-α,and PaCO2(P＜0.001),and significantly higher levels of PaO2 and SaO2(P＜0.001).The overall incidence of adverse reactions was similar between the two groups(10.00％vs.6.00％,P＞0.05).Conclusion Ambroxol hydrochloride injection significant-ly improves the clinical efficacy in the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia,accelerates symptom relief,reduces inflammatory responses,and improves blood gas indicators,with good safety.
