Clinical Efficacy of Qing Zhong Decoction Combined with Proton Pump Inhibitors in the Treatment of Acute Gastric Ulcer Bleeding and Its Effects on Inflammatory Factors

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Qing Zhong Decoction combined with pro-ton pump inhibitors(PPIs)in the treatment of acute gastric ulcer bleeding and its effects on inflammatory fac-tors.Methods A total of 52 patients with acute gastric ulcer bleeding,who were admitted to Shiqian County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital between March 2023 and February 2025,were selected.Patients were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table:the observation group(Qing Zhong Decoction combined with PPIs,n=26)and the control group(PPIs alone,n=26).The clinical therapeutic effects,Helicobacter pylori(Hp)eradication rates,inflammatory markers,prognosis,and gastric mucosal protection were compared be-tween the two groups.Results The total effective clinical treatment rate(96.15％vs.73.08％)and Hp eradication rate(92.31％vs.69.23％)in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences between the two groups in the levels of inflammatory factors,including C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8),tumor necrosis factor-αlpha(TNF-α),and gastric mucosal protection-related indicators(pepsinogen Ⅰ and pepsinogen Ⅱ)(P＞0.05).After treatment,the levels of these inflammatory factors and pepsinogen Ⅱ significantly decreased,while pepsinogen Ⅰ levels significant-ly increased in both groups(P＜0.05).Notably,the observation group showed a more significant reduction in CRP,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8,and pepsinogen Ⅱ levels,as well as a more significant increase in pepsinogen Ⅰ levels(P＜0.05).The time for improvement of hematemesis,melena,and the length of hospital stay were shorter in the observation group compared to the control group(P＜0.05).Additionally,the observation group had lower rates of surgical conversion and rebleeding than the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The treatment regimen of Qing Zhong Decoction combined with proton pump inhibitors effectively eradicates Hp,reduces inflammation,en-hances gastric mucosal protection,and improves patient prognosis in the treatment of acute gastric ulcer bleeding.The clinical efficacy is significant.
