Observation of the Application Effect of Comfort Nursing in Emergency Urolithiasis Patients

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical value of providing comfort nursing services for emergency urolithiasis patients.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 68 urolithiasis pa-tients who visited Xiamen Fifth Hospital from January 2024 to December 2024.Based on the nursing model,the patients were divided into a study group(comfort nursing intervention,n=34)and a control group(routine nursing intervention,n=34).The improvement in negative emotions,pain levels,sleep quality,comfort,and quality of life between the two groups was compared.Results Before the intervention,there were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of anxiety(SAS scores),depression(SDS scores),pain level(NRS scores),sleep quality(PSQI scores),night sleep duration,comfort(GCQ scores),or quality of life(QOL-BREF scores)(P＞0.05).After the intervention,both groups showed significant reductions in SAS,SDS,NRS,and PSQI scores,along with a significant increase in night sleep duration.GCQ scores and QOL-BREF scores were significantly improved(P＜0.05).Compared with the control group,the study group showed a more significant reduction in SAS,SDS,NRS,and PSQI scores(P＜0.05),and a more pronounced increase in night sleep duration,GCQ scores,and QOL-BREF scores(P＜0.05).Conclusion For emergency urolithiasis patients,comfort nursing services can improve negative psychological states,reduce pain levels,enhance sleep quality,extend sleep duration,and improve comfort and quality of life.
