Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of cognitive-behavioral nursing intervention on negative emotions, quality of life, and treatment adherence in patients with acute drug poisoning. Methods A retrospec-tive study was conducted on 62 patients with acute drug poisoning treated at Dejiang County People's Hospital from January 2024 to December 2024.Based on the type of nursing intervention, patients were divided into an obser-vation group(cognitive-behavioral nursing intervention,n=31)and a control group(routine nursing intervention,n=31).Negative emotions, quality of life, treatment adherence, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results Upon admission, there were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of negative emotions(HAMA anxiety scores,HAMD depression scores),quality of life(physical function, bodily pain, social function, and mental health scores,P>0.05).After 2 weeks of intervention, both groups showed sig-nificant reductions in HAMA and HAMD scores(P<0.001)and significant improvements in all four quality of life dimensions(P<0.001).Furthermore,the observation group had significantly lower HAMA(P<0.001)and HAMD scores(P<0.001),and significantly higher quality of life scores across all four dimensions compared to the con-trol group(P<0.05).Treatment adherence in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(96.77%vs.77.42%,P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was signifi-cantly lower than in the control group(6.45%vs.29.03%,P<0.05).Conclusion Cognitive-behavioral nursing intervention can effectively improve negative psychological states, enhance quality of life, increase treatment ad-herence,and improve the safety of treatment in patients with acute drug poisoning.
