Research on the Efficacy and Mechanism of the Qingre Lishi Huoxue Method in Treating Acute Gouty Arthritis

Abstract：Objective To explore the traditional Chinese medicine treatment methods and effects of acute gouty arthritis,and to seek an effective traditional Chinese medicine treatment approach.Methods Sixty patients with acute gouty arthritis admitted to Liuzhou People's Hospital from June 2018 to June 2023 were selected and ran-domly divided into an observation group and a control group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Western medicine,while the observation group was treated with the method of clearing heat,removing dampness,and promoting blood circulation on the basis of the control group.The efficacy,joint symptom scores,gout specific indicators,inflammatory factors,and improvement of bone destruction factors were compared between the two groups of patients.The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(96.67％vs.80.00％,P＜0.05);After treatment,the average joint redness and swelling score,joint pain score,and joint range of motion score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05);The erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),uric acid(UA),and interleukin-6(IL-6)levels in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05);The levels of TRACP-5b,RANKL,and β-CTX in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.001).Conclusion Tradi-tional Chinese medicine treatment in the clinical treatment of patients with acute gouty arthritis can improve joint symptoms,significantly improve patient indicators,and achieve good results.
