Abstract:Objective To investigate the effectiveness of biological prosthesis hemiarthroplasty in the treat-ment of elderly patients with femoral neck fractures, and to observe the functional recovery and postoperative com-plication rates. Methods A total of 100 elderly patients diagnosed with femoral neck fractures at Longyan Peo-ple's Hospital between June 2021 and June 2024 were selected for this retrospective analysis.Patients were divided into two groups using a random number table method(50 patients per group). The control group received cemented prosthesis hemiarthroplasty, while the study group underwent biological prosthesis hemiarthroplasty. The hip joint function, bone metabolism markers, clinical indicators, stress markers, treatment efficacy, and complication rates were compared between the two groups. Results Post-treatment,the hip joint function and bone metabolism markers were significantly higher in the study group compared to the control group(P<0.05).The study group also showed lower intraoperative blood loss, postoperative drainage volume, and shorter time indicators compared to the control group(P<0.001).Stress markers were lower in the study group(P<0.05).The treatment efficacy rate in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications was lower in the study group compared to the control group(2.00%vs.14.00%,P<0.05).Conclusion Biological prosthesis hem-iarthroplasty demonstrates high efficacy and safety, helping to improve joint function, bone metabolism, suppress stress markers, shorten bed rest duration, and facilitate better disease outcomes.
